On August 25th, a tourist posted a video of yaks running into the Five-Colored Pool at Huanglong Scenic Area, which attracted attention online. In the video, four yaks, guided by景区 staff, eventually left the pool. The video also included the voices of several other tourists nearby.

On August 26, a reporter from Cover News contacted the Huanglong Scenic Area Management Bureau. A relevant official from the bureau told the reporter that the incident occurred around 3 PM on August 25 when four yaks entered the Five-Colored Pool. Concerned about causing chaos, scenic area staff immediately led the yaks away, and they left within ten minutes.

"After this situation occurred, we invited two geological experts to assess the damage to the calcification. The yaks entering the Five-Colored Pool caused local turbidity in the water and had some impact on algae, but it can recover within a week," the person in charge said. He added that the yaks had a slight impact on the overall calcification, which should be a natural deposition after calcification and can be repaired within a few months.

The person in charge stated that the scenic area is investigating the owner of the yaks that entered the Five-Colored Pond. Currently, it has been found that someone deliberately damaged the scenic area's fence. The scenic area has reported the incident to the local police station, and the case is under investigation.
