This summer, leveraging its status as the world's largest small commodity distribution center, the Yiwu International Trade City in Zhejiang Province has enjoyed continuous popularity, attracting a large number of overseas merchants and tourists who come to browse and select quality goods. This commercial city is becoming a window for the world to observe and understand China.

At the Yiwu International Trade City, Saeed, a Syrian tourist who came specifically to experience the exhibits with his friends, was strolling around. He saw dancing robots, interactive electronic dogs, and a new generation of mechanical exoskeletons.

Syrian tourist Saeed said it was better than expected, and frankly, it was astonishing. The commercial city had all kinds of goods. He had traveled to many countries and had never seen such advanced products. He was amazed.

In the first half of this year, Yiwu International Trade City saw an average daily visitor flow of 294,000, a year-on-year increase of 34%, with an average of 12,000 foreign merchants visiting daily, a year-on-year increase of 30%. Tourists from all over the world can not only make one-stop purchases at the market, but also experience new consumption trends such as AI customization and smart trendy toys, feeling the surging vitality of Chinese manufacturing in the process.

As they strolled around, experiencing various smart devices and innovative scientific and technological products, Saide couldn't help but admire China's level of technological development.

Syrian tourist Saeed explained that this is the future, which is why he enjoys visiting China. He believes one should come to China every year or every few months to keep up with the latest technology, because China's technological development is so rapid.

With a constant stream of new and updated technological products, global buyers and tourists with diverse needs can all leave satisfied.

Ruan Xiaolong, a business owner in Yiwu International Trade City, told reporters that China's AI smart products are very attractive because robots now speak multiple languages and have their own emotions and facial expressions.

Policies such as the 240-hour visa-free transit policy and the "buy and get refund immediately" tax refund policy continue to enhance Yiwu's attractiveness to foreign countries. Currently, the number of tax refund shops in Yiwu has expanded from 7 to 42, with 28 of them offering immediate refunds upon purchase.

The booming popularity testifies to the market's vitality, with Yiwu's unique "shopping-style tourism" continuing to gain momentum. In the first half of the year, Yiwu achieved tourism revenue of 17.45 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.2%.
