On September 6, the G3998 Fuxing bullet train departed from Ruijin Station, heading towards Yan'an, thousands of miles away, marking the direct high-speed rail connection between Ruijin, Jiangxi, the starting point of the Central Red Army's Long March, and Yan'an, Shaanxi, its final destination.

More than 90 years ago, the Central Red Army set off from Ruijin, a red revolutionary base, and after a bloody battle at the Xiang River, four crossings of the Chishui River, and traversing snow-capped mountains and grasslands, arrived in northern Shaanxi after more than a year, completing the great Long March from departure to victory. Today, this high-speed rail tightly connects the two places, reducing the travel time to about 11 hours.
