On August 25, the Hong Kong Tourism Board announced that, in response to a case in February this year involving mainland tour group tourists being coerced into shopping and the shop failing to make every effort to stop the tour guide's behavior, it has decided to suspend the shop's registration under the "Registered Shops for Inbound Tour Groups" program for 30 days, from August 26 to September 24. During this period, the shop is prohibited from serving any tour group tourists visiting Hong Kong.

According to reports, the registered store in question is Kaiser Jewellery International Limited, which operates under the name "Kaiser Jewellery & Jade Culture Museum". The Hong Kong Travel Authority stated that, in addition to suspending the store's registration, the directors, managers, and all frontline staff of the store in question must complete a training course designated by the Hong Kong Travel Authority within one month.

The Hong Kong Travel Authority also reminded travelers that if they encounter unfair treatment such as coerced shopping, they can contact the Hong Kong Travel Authority immediately or seek help directly from the Hong Kong Police Force.
