On the evening of August 17th, the "Love Across the Clouds, A Perfect Union for a Hundred Years" global group wedding for 100 couples was warmly launched at the Cloud Bridge in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, Cili County. Vice County Head Wu Jinwei attended the event. One hundred couples aged 55 and above ascended this famous "Bridge of Love," with the sea of clouds and towering peaks as their witness, to finally hold a wedding ceremony that had been decades overdue.

This "Love Across the Clouds, A Perfect Union for Life" global group wedding for 100 couples was hosted by Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon and organized by Today's Woman/Phoenix.com. Since recruitment began in July, more than 700 couples from around the world have applied. The finalists come from 11 provinces and municipalities across China, and 13 overseas and Chinese couples from countries such as South Korea, the United Kingdom, France, and the United States also participated. They crossed mountains and seas to make their vows, expressing their deep love hidden in the everyday moments of life, in the clouds.

The event originated from a deep tribute to the older generation—who wrote love letters through the mundane details of daily life, never saying "I love you" but fulfilling their vows every single day. The wedding ceremony was filled with warmth, as four couples from home and abroad, each with their own unique story, shared their decades-long journey together, tenderly recounting the warmth and perseverance in their ordinary days. Their sincere stories touched everyone present.

During the ceremony, a hundred couples faced each other, offering each other strawberry tea—the first toast to "hoping your hair turns white," the second to "accompanying you as you walk with faltering steps," and the third to "I love you but can't say it." They then exchanged custom-made rings, walked hand-in-hand onto the glass bridge, tied a love knot, and sang "The Moon Represents My Heart." At the east end of the bridge, on the "One-Word Love Letter" display board, each couple wrote down the word they had kept hidden for a lifetime—"warm," "stable," "worthwhile," "fragrant"... piecing together a unique dictionary of love.

It is understood that the combined age of the 100 couples exceeds 10,000 years, vividly interpreting the romantic theme of "Zhangjiajie, I love you for 10,000 years." "Yuntiandu" means ferrying people and crossing love; this cloud-based wedding not only fulfilled the regrets of these 100 elderly couples in their youth but also made this "bridge of love" a spiritual landmark for lovers everywhere. On the eve of Qixi Festival, high in the clouds, these 100 lifelong couples used their half-life of companionship to tell the world: the best love is to grow old together.
