Recently, the "Azalea" practice team from the School of Culture, Tourism and Public Administration of Fujian Normal University went to Changting in Longyan and Yong'an in Sanming to carry out red study and practice. Taking Red Army slogans as the starting point, they explored the contemporary connotation and value of red cultural resources from the perspective of young people.

Adhering to the concept that "the field is the arena," the team conducted field research at several revolutionary sites, including Zhongfu Village in Changting and Shuixi Village in Yong'an. At the Red Army Bridge in Changting, team members studied the precious slogan "Saving the nation knows no gender or age" preserved on the wooden beams, gaining a deep understanding of the revolutionary logic of the Central Soviet Area's nationwide mobilization and support for the front lines, and personally experiencing the vivid practice of the mass line in revolutionary propaganda. In Shuixi Village, Yong'an, regarding the slogan "Oppose the Kuomintang's salt blockade," the team members believed it was a vivid historical testament to the Soviet Area's struggle against economic blockade, forging a consensus between the military and civilians to break the material blockade, and solidifying the mass foundation for the base area to promote self-reliance in production and ensure the basic livelihood of the military and civilians.

During the research, the team members also visited local tourists to understand the promotion of red slogans, exchanged views with the staff of the memorial hall on the current status of publicity and education work, built a red slogan graphic material library, refined the "three core slogans" characteristic micro party lessons, completed the research report, and put forward feasible improvement suggestions on the optimization of the venue exhibition and the creation of study tour routes.

Lin Qi, a representative of the practice team, said that visiting the historical sites and reading the weathered slogans gave her a deeper understanding that the Long March was a great war rooted in and relying on the people. The team transformed the stories behind the slogans into micro-lectures for young people, aiming to help contemporary youth understand the patriotism of their predecessors and inherit the spirit of struggle passed down from generation to generation.

Professor Chu Deping, the supervising teacher, stated that red slogans are the most vivid and direct material embodiment of the Long March spirit. This practice relies on a three-pronged approach of "red tourism competition + explanation of Red Army slogans + study tours on the red spirit" to continuously explore and deepen a new model of comprehensive education based on red culture.

It is reported that the "Azalea" practice team achieved fruitful results in several red-themed competitions this summer. In the "Everyone Speaks Fujian Red Army Slogans—Commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Victory of the Red Army's Long March" event, jointly organized by the Fujian Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, the Publicity Department of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPC, the Fujian Provincial Department of Education, the Fujian Provincial Party History Research and Local Chronicles Compilation Office, the Political Work Bureau of the Fujian Military Region, and the Fujian Police Academy, the team won 2 excellent works and 4 outstanding works. In the preliminary round of the 16th National College Student Red Tourism Creative Planning Competition, organized by the Resource Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Beijing Second Foreign Language University, the team won 2 special prizes, 8 first prizes, and 11 second prizes, with 2 special prize-winning works successfully advancing to the national finals. Furthermore, the practice team's footprints covered Huining in Gansu, Anji in Zhejiang, Liquan in Shaanxi, and Fujian (Cangshan and Gulou in Fuzhou, and Ninghua in Sanming), collecting over 500 valid questionnaires and over 100 in-depth interview transcripts, forming rich and solid practical research results.
