The Ida MSC cruise ship, which had long used Tianjin as its home port, departed from Tianjin on September 1st, stopping at ports such as Jeju and Busan in South Korea before arriving in Shanghai. It plans to operate four home port voyages. Meanwhile, the Costa Serena cruise ship, which departed from Shanghai on June 9th, returned as a port of call after a three-month hiatus, making a brief stop before continuing its journey to Jeju, South Korea.

It is reported that from July 1st to August 31st, Shanghai border inspection authorities inspected nearly 80 inbound and outbound cruise ships, carrying nearly 300,000 passengers. At the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, scenes of multi-generational travel and groups of family and friends are commonplace, demonstrating that cross-border travel has expanded from "air routes" to "sea holidays," and the agglomeration effect of the cruise homeport continues to be released.
