The BVLGARI "Kaleidos: Mirror of a Thousand Hues — Color, Culture and Craftsmanship" special exhibition lands in Shanghai, and is hosted at the Power Station of Art, the first state-owned contemporary art museum in Chinese Mainland. The name of this Shanghai stop exhibition derives from the Greek words "kalos" (beauty) and "eidos" (form). The exhibition specially selects over 300 colorful jewelry works and pieces by Chinese contemporary artists, reinterpreting and further enriching the narrative connotation of the special exhibition from the perspective of Chinese culture, philosophy and artistic traditions. The exhibition will be open to the public from September 5 to October 31, 2026. Centered on three chapters including "The Science of Colors", "Color Symbolism" and "The Power of Light", it vividly unfolds Bulgari's splendid world that integrates exquisite craftsmanship and creativity, and interprets Eastern and Western color concepts from an innovative perspective. It is worth noting that the exhibition also specially presents works by Chinese artists Liang Manqi and Zhang Ding. As an important part of the Shanghai stop, these excellent artworks further expand the color exploration dimension of the exhibition with the creative expression of Chinese contemporary art. Bulgari cooperated with SANAA architectural firm and Formafantasma design studio to conceive the spatial design of this exhibition, and carefully created an immersive spatial experience. Architectural structures, dynamic light and shadow and diverse materials complement each other here, further highlighting the color-centered narrative thread of the exhibition, and realizing the harmonious resonance of jewelry, contemporary art and design.
