Synopsis The arrival of a touring troupe of artists shatters the silence of a gloomy industrial town. Joan, the mayor's son, unexpectedly meets Zaira, a singer from the troupe, and catches a glimpse of a life he has longed for but never experienced. Two vastly different worlds collide, stirring dormant dreams and unsettling the seemingly calm surface of the town amid the tension between desire and reality. Production Introduction This is the peak swan song work for the 50th anniversary of Spain's legendary theatre company Dagoll Dagom, adapted from the classic Catalan modernist drama. Since its premiere in 2023, the show has swept multiple major Spanish theatre awards and become a phenomenal production in Barcelona with 167 performances. As the first Catalan-language musical making its debut at Shanghai Culture Square, *L'ALEGRIA QUE PASSA* (Fleeting Joy) will bring a distinct Barcelona-style artistic highlight to Shanghai audiences in 2026, with its modern music style that fuses electronic music and live performance, as well as visually impactful choreography that blends street dance, acrobatics and physical theatre.
