The Huangpu River is known as "the Mother River of Shanghai". With the river as the boundary, Pudong and Puxi are home to world-renowned landmarks such as the Bund and Lujiazui Financial Center. Stretching about 113 kilometers in total with a width of 300 to 700 meters, the Huangpu River flows through all districts of Shanghai. The night view of Huangpu River is also a must-see. When night falls, both banks of Huangpu River are brightly lit. You can depart from Shiliupu Tourist Wharf at East Zhongshan No.2 Road in Huangpu District, take a Huangpu River cruise sailing on the river, and get a full view of the beautiful scenery along the way. The Yangpu Bridge and Nanpu Bridge spanning the Huangpu River, the classic Waibaidu Bridge that looks like a jade belt, the beautiful Riverside Avenue, and the uniquely shaped Shanghai International Convention Center form a gorgeous dazzling landscape under the brilliant lights. The cruise ships provide Chinese food, Western food, buffet and other services, so you can enjoy delicious food while admiring the beautiful scenery of Huangpu River. The cruise runs daily from 11:00 to 21:30, with one departure per hour between 11:00 and 13:00, and one departure every half an hour between 13:00 and 21:30. A single voyage takes about 60 minutes. If you don't want to spend too much time on a cruise, the ferry shuttling between Pudong and Puxi is also an affordable option to experience the charm of Huangpu River with a more nostalgic vibe. The ferry runs between Jinling East Road Ferry Terminal next to the Bund and Dongchang Road Ferry Terminal in Pudong, operating from 7:00 to 22:00. A single trip takes about ten minutes, with one departure every 15 minutes. There is also a ferry route between Fuxing East Road Ferry Terminal and Huangpu River Cruise (Dongchang Road Wharf). Fuxing East Road Ferry Terminal operates from 7:00 to 19:00, while Huangpu River Cruise (Dongchang Road Wharf) operates from 7:00 to 18:45, with one departure every half an hour.
