Day 1: City Exploration and a Taste Journey of Luosifen (Snail Rice Noodles)
Upon arrival in Liuzhou, it's recommended to check into a hotel in the city center first to ensure convenient access to your itinerary. For lunch, the first stop in Liuzhou should naturally be to sample authentic snail rice noodles. No need to specifically seek out trendy restaurants; any small, bustling eatery on the streets and alleys will offer you the most authentic experience. For first-timers, choose mild or no spice to make its unique flavor appealing even to children.
In the afternoon, a visit to Liuhou Park is recommended. Built to commemorate the Tang Dynasty writer Liu Zongyuan, the park boasts ancient trees, lakes, and mountains, making it an oasis in the city. Historical sites within the park, such as Liu Zongyuan's cenotaph and Luochi Pond, offer children opportunities to learn about history while playing. Afterwards, a walk will take you to the Liuzhou Museum . The museum has a rich collection, comprehensively showcasing Liuzhou's historical changes from prehistoric culture to industrial development, with the industrial exhibition area being particularly educational for families with children.
In the evening, ascend Ma'anshan Park . Ma'anshan is an independent rocky hill in the center of Liuzhou City. From the summit, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Liuzhou, especially spectacular at sunset when the city is bathed in the glow of the setting sun. A cable car is available for families.
