The Cambodian Ministry of Tourism announced on the 27th that the tourism ministers of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam have officially adopted a three-year joint action plan to promote tourism cooperation among the three destinations.

The aforementioned cooperation was reached the day before at the first Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Tourism Ministers' Meeting held in Ho Chi Minh City. The Cambodian Ministry of Tourism announced on its official social media on the 27th that the cooperation is based on the shared vision of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, aiming to achieve mutually beneficial results and benefit the three countries and their people.

The meeting was themed "One Journey, Three Destinations." According to the Cambodian News Agency (KNA), Cambodian Minister of Tourism Huha, Lao Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Sou Sawan, and Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Lam Thi Phuong Thanh attended the meeting. The three parties agreed to establish a cooperation mechanism among the Cambodian, Lao, and Vietnamese tourism ministers to effectively promote and coordinate trilateral tourism cooperation.

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported on the 27th that the meeting also adopted a joint action plan for 2026-2028 and identified six key areas of cooperation, including joint product development and connectivity, joint marketing and brand building, capacity building and industry experience sharing, sustainable, responsible and community-based tourism development, and strengthening mechanisms and international cooperation.

The Vietnam News Agency quoted Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Lam Thi Phuong Thanh as saying that tourism cooperation between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia should be based on a long-term perspective, and that the concept of "one journey, three destinations" should be developed into a tourism brand with common characteristics, making a positive contribution to regional inclusiveness and sustainable development.
