On August 13, the first domestically built large cruise ship under AIDA Cruises, the "AIDA Shanghai," carrying nearly 4,600 tourists, set sail from the Shenzhen China Merchants Shekou International Cruise Home Port, a subsidiary of China Merchants Shekou, embarking on a 5-day, 4-night sea voyage to Hue (Chen My), Vietnam. This marks the first time the "AIDA Shanghai" has operated an international cruise route in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

It is understood that this Shenzhen cruise season will last until September 16th. During the season, the "Ida Shanghai" will operate several international cruise voyages, including regular 5-day/4-night and 6-day/5-night itineraries, visiting popular destinations such as Hue (Chen My), Ha Long Bay, Nha Trang (Cam Ranh) in Vietnam, and Jeju Island in South Korea. Notably, the "Ida Shanghai" will also launch a special 9-day/8-night "Maritime Silk Road Discovery Journey" on August 27th, visiting Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, Malaya in Brunei, and Nha Trang (Cam Ranh) in Vietnam.
