Today and tomorrow (September 8th and 9th), the main rainfall area in northern China will shift southward, while rainfall will intensify in the Sichuan Basin, with some areas experiencing heavy rain or torrential rain. Residents should be vigilant against secondary disasters. Affected by cold air and rainfall, southern North China and the Huanghuai region will experience significant temperature drops, with many areas seeing record lows for the past six months. The air will be noticeably cool, so the public is advised to dress appropriately and take precautions against catching a cold.

The area of rainfall in the north has shifted southward, and the rainfall intensity has increased in the Sichuan Basin.

Yesterday, widespread rainfall occurred in northern my country. Monitoring showed that heavy rain or torrential rain occurred in parts of central and southern Hebei, Tianjin, southern Beijing, central Shanxi, northern Shaanxi, and eastern Gansu, with localized areas such as Langfang in Hebei experiencing extremely heavy rain.

Over the next three days, affected by cold air, light to moderate rain is expected in Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, North China, and the Sichuan Basin, with heavy to torrential rain in some areas. Some areas will also experience thunderstorms or short-term heavy precipitation and other convective weather.

Specifically, the National Meteorological Center forecasts that today, parts of eastern Qinghai, eastern Gansu, central and southern Ningxia, most of Shaanxi, southern Shanxi, western and northern Sichuan Basin, and southwestern Yunnan will experience moderate to heavy rain, with some areas in eastern Gansu, southern Ningxia, central Shaanxi, southwestern Shanxi, and western Sichuan Basin experiencing torrential rain.

Tomorrow, moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of southern Qinghai, eastern Gansu, central and southern Shaanxi, the Sichuan Basin, and southern Hainan Island. Some areas in southern Shaanxi, central Sichuan Basin, and northeastern Yunnan will experience torrential rain or extremely heavy rain.

The day after tomorrow, moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of southern Qinghai, northern Sichuan Plateau, southern Shaanxi, eastern Sichuan Basin, western and southern Yunnan, and southern Tibet, with localized torrential rain in eastern Sichuan Basin.

Meteorological authorities warn that while rainfall in eastern Northwest China is beneficial for soil moisture and the growth of autumn crops, the prolonged and heavy rainfall in parts of Qinghai, Gansu, and Shaanxi, coupled with fragile geological conditions, necessitates precautions against secondary disasters such as flash floods, landslides, and mudslides.

Temperatures in many parts of northern China will hit record lows, with noticeable coolness in the mornings and evenings.

Affected by cold air and rain, yesterday, some areas in Northwest, North, and Northeast China experienced significant temperature drops, with eastern Inner Mongolia, western Jilin, and central Heilongjiang seeing drops of 14 to 16 degrees Celsius, resembling a change of seasons.

Over the next three days, southeastern Northwest China, southern North China, the Huanghuai region, and eastern Northeast China will experience temperature drops of 4°C to 6°C, with some areas seeing drops of 8°C to 10°C. These drops will be accompanied by winds of force 4 to 5, with gusts reaching force 6 to 7. After the temperature drop, many parts of northern China will experience significant autumn chill, with temperatures reaching new lows for the second half of the year. In cities, Taiyuan's high temperatures today and tomorrow will drop below 20°C.

Meanwhile, it will be quite cool in the mornings and evenings, with minimum temperatures in many parts of Northeast China below 10℃, and most of North China and Northwest China around 10℃. Southern North China and the Huanghuai region will also see temperatures drop to around 15℃. Currently, Lanzhou, Yinchuan, Harbin, Changchun, Taiyuan, and Xining have already entered autumn, and the process of autumn entering Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and other areas may begin in the future.

After the cold air penetrates southward, the high temperatures in the Sichuan Basin will also decrease. Chongqing will still experience high temperatures today and tomorrow, but the heat will ease from the 10th to the 11th, with the high temperature on the 11th potentially dropping to 28℃, significantly reducing the heat.
