AI can make a blank itinerary less intimidating. Give it your cities, dates and interests, and it can suggest a shape for the trip. Its best role is a first draft you can check, not a promise that every stop is open or nearby.
At a glance
- Use AI to compare route ideas and pacing.
- Check every place, distance and opening condition.
- Keep reservations and legal requirements with official providers.
1. Start with a real travel brief
- List the city, arrival point, accommodation area, dates, companions and interests. Say whether you prefer landmarks, food or quiet streets.
- In XOOTOUR’s AI Trip Planner you can choose cities and travel preferences, then add a budget preference and special requirements.
- Mention a slow first day if you land late or travel with children. The input quality shapes the output.
2. Edit the first route
- Look for impossible cross-city jumps, repeated places and long zigzags. Group nearby stops and protect time for meals and transfers.
- Check whether each name, photo and address belongs to the city you selected. Search official venue information for reservations and opening changes.
- Keep the stops you actually care about; the most ‘efficient’ itinerary is not always the most enjoyable.
3. Turn it into something usable
- Save a simple day-by-day list with Chinese names and map pins, not just a screenshot of a paragraph.
- Book trains, museums and hotels through their proper channels. Recheck weather and operating notices before each day.
- Leave one flexible block; an unplanned café or longer museum visit may become the best part of the trip.
Frequently asked questions
Can an AI planner guarantee a smooth trip?
No. It may suggest wrong locations or outdated details, so review and confirm practical information.
Is it still worth using?
Yes, if you want a quick shortlist and a route to edit rather than a rigid package.
