Zhujiajiao Ancient Town Scenic Area is located in Qingpu District, Shanghai, adjacent to Dianshan Lake Scenic Area. It is a typical ancient water town in the regions south of the Yangtze River, with crisscrossing waterways between streets and alleys and a very elegant environment. There are scenic spots including gardens and historical relics in the town, as well as numerous traditional characteristic snacks and boutique shops, making it the top choice for visiting ancient towns around Shanghai. Zhujiajiao Ancient Town Scenic Area is not large in size, you can tour the ancient town entirely on foot, and a quick sightseeing trip takes roughly half a day. After entering the ancient town from the south entrance, you will first reach Zhuxi Garden and the Humanities Art Museum. Zhuxi Garden is a compact and exquisite garden that is now open to the public for free. The Humanities Art Museum is a uniquely shaped modern white building, which records the local history and culture of Zhujiajiao through oil paintings and sculptures. After passing the Humanities Art Museum, you will arrive at North Street, where flocks of walking tourists gather, and there are many snack shops on the street. The well-known Grandma's Zongzi, ancient town glutinous rice dumplings, soy sauce braised pork hock, and all kinds of delicate pastries are available for tasting here. Stroll north slowly along North Street, on the right there are several distinctively shaped small bridges including Yongfeng Bridge and Tai'an Bridge of Shanghai Zhujiajiao Ancient Town Tourist Area.
