*Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land* Classic Version Performance Introduction On November 18, 2006, the Beijing version of *Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land* premiered in Beijing. This was the first time audiences got to watch the official authorized performance of this work, after hundreds of unauthorized stagings of *Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land* had been presented across Chinese mainland. It caused a national sensation immediately after its debut. Like a shot in the arm, it brought unprecedented vitality to the Chinese mainland drama market at that time. Many people stepped into the theater for the first time because of this play and became drama fans ever since. On June 8, 2012, the classic version of *Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land* premiered at Beijing Poly Theatre. It not only marked the return of the 2006 Beijing version, but also kicked off the national tour of *Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land*. It is worth noting that Huang Lei and He Jiong, who play the roles of Jiang Binliu and Boss Yuan in the classic version, have continuously performed in *Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land* since 2006 for 20 years to date. This version of the play has traveled to 22 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, triggering a viewing boom wherever it arrives.
