The ancient civilization of Guangfulin Cultural Site has been initially verified by scientific archaeological studies. As early as the late Neolithic Age 4,000 to 5,000 years ago, rice was widely cultivated in this area, a discovery that proves the local advanced agricultural production mode. In addition, the local textile industry also has a very long history, and pottery spinning wheels dating back to the late Neolithic Age have been unearthed at the site. Entering the site, the Guangfulin Cultural Exhibition Hall is the highlight that makes visitors linger and forget to leave. The entire exhibition space is built under water, with pyramid-like roofs floating on Fuling Lake, integrating with the surrounding environment to form a beautiful landscape. Adopting the concept of "Journey Through Time and Space" and combining modern audio-visual technologies, the exhibition hall creates scenes covering archaeological memories of Guangfulin, evolution of Shanghai's land formation, arrival of ancient ancestors' activities, formation of urban features, prosperity of Songjiang Prefectural Government, rise of Shanghai as a city, and the path to the future, allowing tourists to experience and explore the civilization history of Shanghai in a time tunnel.
