명소 소개

Shanghai Grand View Garden is located west of Dianshan Lake in Qingpu, a large antique building complex and modern garden designed based on descriptions in the classic Chinese novel *Dream of the Red Chamber*. It features beautiful scenery with stone bridges, lotus ponds, pavilions, and wax figures of story characters from the novel, immersing visitors in Cao Xueqin's fictional scenes. Away from downtown, it is a quiet, lush spot with abundant bamboos and ancient trees. It is ideal for viewing lotus in summer and plum blossoms in winter. It integrates the grandeur of imperial gardens and the elegance of Jiangnan gardens, with well-marked scenic spots including Yihong Courtyard, Xiaoxiang Pavilion, Qiushuang Studio, Longcui Nunnery, Grand View Tower and more. Traditional opera excerpts of *Dream of the Red Chamber* are often staged on national holidays. A tea house in Grand View Tower offers tea and views, no on-site restaurant, so snacks and water are recommended. The nearby dilapidated Shanghai Ethnic Culture Village is not worth paying to enter, and it is only 11km from Zhouzhuang for self-driving trips.
