Century Park is located at the southeast end of Century Avenue in Pudong, and it is one of the large natural ecological parks in downtown Shanghai. The park is divided into zones of native countryside, lakeside, sparse forest and lawn, bird reserve, exotic garden and other regions. With favorable ecological environment, it is a nice place in the city to relax and enjoy leisure entertainment. Jingtian Lake in Century Park is a large artificial lake in Shanghai, which is nearly circular with a diameter of about 300 meters. The Zhangjiabang River also flows through the park, creating an ecological environment crisscrossed by waterways. When a breeze blows, standing on the Yunfan Bridge or the viewing platform by the water, you can enjoy the rare rippling blue water scenery in the urban area. The park provides fishing and boating services by the lake, which is a great choice for recreation. The Oriental Hongzhu Bonsai Garden in the northeast has more than 160 characteristic bonsai with extremely high ornamental value. Four gardens themed on spring, summer, autumn and winter are set up in the sparse forest zone, where you can admire the beautiful seasonal flowers all year round. The representative attraction is the Century Flower Clock north of Jingtian Lake in Century Park, which is the landmark attraction of the whole park. The flower clock is surrounded by clusters of flowers, with boxwood as the time scale, and the center of the dial is decorated with full yellow flowers, looking gorgeous. The flower clock is not only for decoration, it has a real timekeeping function controlled by satellite equipment, with an error of less than 0.03 seconds, which is very amazing. Among these garden vegetations, there are multiple plant-built shapes such as green maze, plant camel and plant peacock, as well as characteristic sculptures such as Green World and Olmeca ethnic sculpture. These shapes and sculptures are dotted in the green jungle, creating a peaceful and quiet natural ecology, which forms a sharp contrast with the bustling urban area around, making the park full of vitality. The north of the park is the Century Park Amusement Park, which has a variety of children's rides including bumper cars, sky walking, drifting boats and more, making it a paradise for kids. South of the amusement park is the Lawn Pigeon Flying attraction, where buying a pack of pigeon food to tease the pigeons is also full of fun. To the west of the amusement park is the Musical Fountain Scenic Area, which has 208 nozzles and more than 600 colored lights. Here you can see the water columns dance along with the music, presenting an elegant and romantic scene.
