Finale **Programme and duration are subject to change, please refer to the on-site performance** ***All information on programme and duration is subject to change.** Introduction: At the 16th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2022, Russian pianist Anna Geniushene took the stage when she was nearly 7 months pregnant. She impressed the judges and audience with her highly distinctive interpretation and richly layered structural handling, and finally won the silver medal of the competition. *Gramophone* magazine commented that her performance reached a rare balance between mature technique and musical imagination. After the competition, she was featured on the cover of *Pianist* magazine, and released multiple albums in cooperation with Alpha Classics, presenting her diverse expressions in the fields of solo and chamber music. On December 13, Anna Geniushene will present a piano narrative spanning Romanticism and the 20th century in the "One-Man Classical" series: In the original piano works of the first half, the lyrical monologue and tragic undertones of Brahms' ballades permeate each other, while Bartók's scherzo pushes the rhythm to the release of folk characteristics and primitive energy. The second half unfolds in the reconstruction of operas and ballets: the arrangements by Liszt and Agosti integrate the most touching melodies of Verdi's operas and the orchestral colors of Stravinsky's *The Firebird* into the sonic structure of the piano.
