The “2026 World Tour Summer Exhibition” was held in Sapporo, Hokkaido, from the 22nd to the 23rd. The China National Tourist Office in Tokyo set up a booth on behalf of China’s cultural and tourism sector and held a cultural and tourism briefing for local residents during the exhibition, themed “'Hello! China' - Traveling through China from Hokkaido”.

At the event, the office distributed several updated versions of China travel guides and tourist maps, and held an interactive lucky draw, attracting many participants and creating a lively atmosphere. The office also promoted its official social media accounts and provided QR codes for downloading electronic travel brochures, helping Japanese citizens easily access the latest information on traveling to China.

At the briefing, the office first gave a systematic introduction to the various policies and related services introduced by China to facilitate travel to China for foreign tourists. Then, highlighting the unique cultural and tourism resources of Beijing and Shanghai, the office showcased the city's network of direct flights to China from New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido.

The Beijing section, in addition to introducing convenient services such as entry clearance, subway travel, and tax refunds for departing tourists, also recommends cultural experience tourism projects that have become increasingly popular with overseas tourists in recent years. The Shanghai section focuses on classic tourist routes such as the Bund's historical landscape and ancient water towns, as well as special tourism products related to Shanghai Disney Resort recently launched on Japanese OTA platforms, providing individual and family tourists from Hokkaido with diverse travel options to China, ranging from historical and cultural experiences to leisure and entertainment.

In addition, the office introduced the "Jingdezhen Handmade Porcelain Industry Heritage Site," which was newly inscribed on the World Heritage List in July 2026. Jingdezhen, a world-renowned "Millennium Porcelain Capital," boasts a long history of porcelain making and a profound kiln culture. By introducing the porcelain industry heritage site and ceramic-making experiences, the office vividly showcased the unique charm of Jingdezhen's fusion of traditional culture and modern tourism to the visitors.
