Over the next three days (September 11-13), frequent rainfall will continue in southwestern China. Meanwhile, tropical systems will become active again at sea, bringing heavy to torrential rain to many parts of Hainan due to easterly winds and the influence of these systems. Regarding temperatures, the current cold air mass is ending its influence, and the area experiencing hot weather around 30°C in central and eastern China will expand again. However, some areas in the north will see significant temperature differences between day and night, so the public should dress appropriately for the mornings and evenings.

Frequent rainfall continues in southwestern China; tropical system brings heavy to torrential rain to Hainan.

As the cold air continued to move southward and the warm, humid air currents weakened, the area affected by heavy rainfall in my country shrank significantly yesterday, with the heaviest rainfall mainly concentrated in the central and eastern Sichuan Basin and Yunnan. Monitoring showed that some areas in northeastern Sichuan experienced torrential rain yesterday.

Over the next few days, the rain in southwestern China will not completely recede. Although the intensity will not be strong, there will be many rainy days and large cumulative rainfall. At the same time, tropical systems at sea will become active again. Influenced by easterly winds and tropical systems, rainfall in Hainan will intensify, and many areas will experience frequent heavy to torrential rain.

Specifically, today, moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of southern Qinghai, central and southeastern Tibet, northern and central Sichuan, western Yunnan, and central and eastern Hainan Island, with localized torrential rain in eastern Hainan Island.

Tomorrow, moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of northeastern Inner Mongolia, northwestern Heilongjiang, high-altitude mountainous areas in western Xinjiang, southern Shaanxi, southern Gansu, southeastern Qinghai, central and northern Sichuan, southeastern Tibet, western Yunnan, southern coastal areas of Guangdong, and Hainan Island. Locally heavy rain or torrential rain is expected in eastern and southern Hainan Island and southern coastal areas of Guangdong.

The day after tomorrow, moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of southeastern Tibet, southern Sichuan Plateau, northern Heilongjiang, northern and eastern Zhejiang, central and southern Guangdong, southern Guangxi, and Hainan Island. Some areas in central and eastern Hainan Island and southern Guangdong will experience torrential rain or heavy downpours.

Meteorological experts warn that frequent rainfall is expected in Sichuan, Hainan, and other areas over the next 10 days, with accumulated rainfall exceeding the average for the same period in previous years. Local residents should be aware of potential secondary disasters caused by the continuous rainfall, and take precautions against slippery roads and traffic safety when traveling.

Hot weather is developing again in central and eastern China, with large temperature differences between day and night in North China and other areas.

Yesterday, under the influence of cold air, temperatures continued to drop across most of southern China, with eastern Sichuan, western Chongqing, and northwestern Guizhou experiencing decreases of 12°C to 14°C. In Chongqing, for example, the temperature at 2 PM yesterday was only 23.5°C, a drop of 13.2°C from the same time the previous day, quickly shifting the feeling from midsummer to early autumn.

Today, the influence of this cold air mass is nearing its end, and hot weather is returning to central and eastern China, with maximum temperatures in many parts of North and South China gradually rising back to around 30℃.

However, around the 13th, affected by cold air, temperatures in Northeast and Northwest China will fluctuate, with some areas experiencing a drop of more than 8℃. For example, in Changchun, the high temperature will rise to 28℃ tomorrow, but will drop to 21℃ on the 13th.

It's also important to note that during the White Dew season in northern China, the temperature difference between day and night is significant. In the coming days, the minimum temperatures in most parts of Northwest, North, and Northeast China will be below 15℃ in the mornings and evenings, with some areas experiencing single-digit temperatures. The public should take precautions to stay warm when going out early or returning late. (Source: China Weather Network)
