The 62-day summer travel season for Chinese railways has ended. According to the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Railway"), from July 1 to August 31, the national railway system transported a total of 954 million passengers and 680 million tons of freight.

According to the head of the Transportation Department of China State Railway Group, the railway passenger transport capacity has been effectively increased during this summer travel season. Based on the third-quarter train schedule, the railway department simultaneously implemented a summer train schedule, making full use of new line resources such as the Xi'an East to Shiyan East section of the Wuhan-Xi'an High-Speed Railway and the Lanxi East to Jiande section of the Jinhua-Jiande High-Speed Railway to increase transport capacity. An average of 11,623 passenger trains were scheduled to run daily nationwide.

Since the start of the summer travel season, the national railway system has operated a total of 699 tourist trains, including 415 special tourist trains and 284 tourist line trains. The railway department has precisely coordinated with local sporting events, exhibitions, and cultural performances, customizing 351 trains such as "music fan trains" and "sports fan trains," effectively boosting cultural and tourism consumption along the routes and promoting the expansion and improvement of service consumption.
