The Shanghai General Station of Immigration Inspection disclosed on September 10 that, as of September 9, the number of Chinese and foreign nationals entering and exiting Shanghai's ports this year has exceeded 30 million. Among them, the number of people entering and exiting through the two major international airports, Pudong and Hongqiao, reached 28.239 million.

On June 22 this year, the number of inbound and outbound passengers at Shanghai ports exceeded 20 million. It took only 80 days to go from 20 million to 30 million.

As of September 9, Shanghai border inspection authorities had processed a total of 4.732 million foreign nationals entering the country this year, a year-on-year increase of 19%. Among them, 3.142 million foreign nationals enjoyed visa-free policies and 240-hour visa-free transit policies, accounting for more than 66.4% of the total number of foreign nationals entering the country.

Shanghai border inspection authorities have continuously optimized their duty organization model and improved port clearance capabilities. While strengthening dynamic analysis of passenger flow, scientifically allocating on-duty police force, and promptly opening additional inspection channels, Shanghai border inspection authorities have also continued to promote services such as online completion of foreign arrival cards, providing foreign travelers with a more convenient and efficient entry experience.
