According to statistics from the Zhuhai Border Inspection Station of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, as of August 27, the number of inbound and outbound passengers through the Zhuhai Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge this year has exceeded 20 million, setting a new record for the fastest passage since the port opened.

With the deepening of both hardware and software connectivity in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, coupled with favorable policies such as tax refunds for departing tourists and consumption subsidies, the trend of Hong Kong and Macao residents traveling north via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge continues to rise. Since the beginning of this year, more than 12.1 million Hong Kong and Macao residents have passed through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge border inspection station, accounting for more than 60% of the total passenger flow.

With the deepening implementation of policies allowing Hong Kong vehicles to travel north and Macao vehicles to travel north, and the continued expansion of Guangdong vehicles traveling south, self-driving travel has driven rapid growth in the flow of vehicles entering and leaving ports. Since the beginning of this year, more than 4.53 million vehicles have passed through ports, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year.
