Spot Introduction

People's Square is a veritable Shanghai landmark, where the Shanghai Highway Zero Kilometre Marker is located. Surrounded by the Municipal Building, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Shanghai Museum and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, you can feed pigeons, visit boutique streets in daytime, and play in fountains at night. It is a lush green space with thousands of peace doves, benches for rest, and a central fountain spraying every half hour at night with colorful lights. Its underground area has a boutique street, Dimei Shopping Center, and the 1930 Old Shanghai Style Street connected to metro stations. As a downtown transport hub, dozens of bus routes and Metro Lines 1,2,8 pass here, with nearest Exits 1 and 2 at its northeast corner.
