The 2026 China Cultural Tourism Industry Expo opened on September 3 at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center. The expo will last for four days, until September 6.

The exhibition covers a total area of 100,000 square meters and features ten major exhibition areas, including cultural and tourism integration, new digital business models, cultural and tourism equipment, international cooperation, Tianjin specialties, and mass consumption, showcasing the latest achievements in the integrated development of culture, commerce, tourism, and sports. Nearly 2,000 cultural and tourism enterprises from 20 countries and regions and 30 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) are participating in the exhibition.

It is understood that this expo is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and organized by the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and Beijing Xinglv International Media Co., Ltd. During the expo, the organizers will hold a series of "1+18" activities, including the Scene Operation Innovation Conference, the Cruise Tourism High-Quality Development Seminar, the Industrial Culture and Tourism Development Exchange, and the Tianjin International Travel Agents Conference. In addition, the organizers will focus on key areas such as digital cultural tourism, smart scene construction, and urban cultural tourism renewal, and will hold a centralized signing ceremony for high-quality cultural tourism industry projects.

The innovations in the field of smart cultural tourism at this expo are astonishing, with their application scenarios, application cases, and application products all being truly amazing.

In an interview, Yan Guohua, Dean of the Audio-Visual System Integration Design Institute of Yinwang Group, stated that Yinwang Group is the only officially designated audio-visual brand for this expo. Yinwang's immersive sound technology has been successfully implemented in hundreds of projects, including the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the National Museum of China. Our cases have been applied in major events such as the Beijing Olympics, the Shanghai World Expo, and the Xi'an Garden Expo. Yinwang's influence can be seen in classic cultural tourism performances such as Mulan Never Sleeping City, Qingdao Songcheng Silk Road Eternal Love, "Chongqing 1949," "Yan'an Nursery," "Yan'an 13 Years," "Vivid Lotus," and "The Three Kingdoms in Flames." In particular, "The Mighty Qin Dynasty," with its grand scale, exquisite performances, stunning audio-visual effects, and unique experience, pioneered high-quality immersive large-scale theater performances in China, representing the pinnacle of Chinese cultural tourism performances.

Jiao Yang, Vice General Manager and Technical Director of Cadac (Beijing) Digital Technology Co., Ltd., and Senior Consultant for Immersive Sound Technology Application, stated that the "Light and Shadow Painting" immersive experience zone uses diverse display methods such as images, text, videos, and new media to deeply integrate traditional ink painting with audio-visual technology, achieving a fully integrated, immersive panoramic sound effect without blind spots. It is also integrated with high-definition holographic video, transcending the barriers of time and breaking through spatial distances to create an immersive painting space spanning multiple dynasties and integrating multiple masterpieces. It presents the highest level of contemporary audio-visual technology. The high-precision sound field of the Cadac immersive sound audio system once again gives sound a concrete form, perfectly presenting a revolutionary and wonderful auditory experience like "visible sound".

In a media interview, Zhang Qiang, co-founder and CMO of DaxAI Robot, stated that at the opening ceremony of the recently concluded 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games, DaxAI Robot's Qiji X1 led the robot contingent in a stunning entrance, captivating the audience. Qiji X1 boasts impressive terrain adaptability, capable of traversing rocky mountain roads, muddy slopes, and uneven grasslands. It can handle a static load of up to 1 ton and a dynamic load of 300 kg, smoothly carrying an adult rider and mimicking the bumpy ride of a real horse. Suitable for private estate tours, off-road adventures, and also for inspections and cargo transport, it can be integrated into various cultural and tourism scenarios. In the cultural and tourism sector, it can be offered as a unique "cultural tourism + embodied intelligence" experience, allowing visitors to pay for access and creating a distinctive technological cultural tourism IP for scenic spots, thus expanding new revenue streams. The Qiji XS can travel long distances at high speeds. When encountering rocks and ravines, it can immediately switch to a four-legged gait, lift its legs to overcome obstacles, and take into account both high-speed travel and all-terrain off-road capabilities. Ordinary people can easily ride it, which can meet the operational needs of large-scale sightseeing cycling in scenic areas.

A tourist surnamed Wang from Beijing told the media that this was his first time attending the China Tourism Industry Expo, and he was truly amazed by the exhibition. On one side was a beautifully crafted traditional exhibition, and on the other was an immersive futuristic experience—it felt like stepping into another world.

It is understood that the China Cultural Tourism Industry Expo is a merger of the former "China Tourism Industry Expo" and the "China (Wuhan) Cultural Tourism Expo," and this year marks its third edition. (Source: China.com, Author: Wu Ce, January)
