During the summer travel season, Beijing Capital International Airport handled over 14 million passengers, averaging 226,000 passengers per day, representing a year-on-year increase of over 12.8%, with peak day passenger volume reaching 256,000. Boosted by the summer travel season, on September 2nd, the airport's total annual passenger throughput surpassed 50 million, 16 days earlier than last year.

According to data from Beijing Capital International Airport, in August this year, the airport handled 7.195 million passengers, averaging more than 232,000 passengers per day; international and regional passengers reached 1.878 million, averaging more than 60,000 passengers per day, setting a new record since 2020.

In the domestic market during the summer vacation, traditional trunk route destinations saw steady growth, while popular tourist destinations experienced a surge. Passenger throughput on traditional trunk routes such as Chengdu and Shenzhen increased by more than 15%, making them the main routes in the domestic air travel market during the summer vacation. Passenger traffic on routes to popular tourist cities such as Guiyang, Nanchang, and Qingdao increased by more than 30%, becoming strong growth drivers in the summer market.

In the international and regional markets, cross-border travel demand steadily increased, with passenger traffic to and from Russia, Turkey, Belgium, Poland, and other countries at Beijing Capital International Airport growing rapidly during the summer, with a year-on-year increase of over 50%.
