Typhoon Zitan (Tropical Storm level), the 19th typhoon of this year, remains located over the Beibu Gulf in northern my country, with maximum sustained winds near its center reaching 23 meters per second (level 9). Zitan continues to affect Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan provinces, while heavy rainfall is expected in Northwest China, North China, and Inner Mongolia. On August 25, the Market Management Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism issued a work advisory, requiring relevant cultural and tourism departments to implement all disaster prevention and response measures meticulously, strengthen risk and hazard investigation, and make every effort to ensure the safety of life and property of tourists and tourism practitioners.

According to meteorological forecasts, significant rainfall is expected in Northwest China, Inner Mongolia, and North China over the next three days. Heavy to torrential rain is anticipated in eastern and southern Qinghai, western Inner Mongolia, central Hebei, Beijing, and Tianjin, with some areas experiencing extremely heavy rain and localized areas experiencing exceptionally heavy rain. Meanwhile, Typhoon Saudel, the 18th typhoon of the year, entered the East China Sea on August 26th and is gradually moving west-southwest, approaching the coastal areas of Zhejiang and Fujian. Affected by the typhoon, southeastern Zhejiang is expected to experience heavy to torrential rain.

The Market Management Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism advises that cultural and tourism departments in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Zhejiang and other places should strengthen consultation and judgment, focus on key areas such as mountain torrent gullies and narrow flood channels, strictly implement the emergency warning "call and response" and tracking feedback mechanism, and make every effort to relocate people in danger zones in advance to protect the lives and property of the people.

The Market Management Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism also issued a special reminder to all regions that, given the current summer and flood season, tourists have a strong desire to travel. All regions must maintain a strong sense of vigilance, ensure safety responsibilities are effectively implemented at all levels, strengthen risk and hazard investigation, pay close attention to the risks of typhoons, rainfall, and flash floods, and strengthen safety management of mountain and water-related scenic spots, as well as tourist charter buses and cruise ships. Strict measures must be taken to prevent accidents involving tourism transportation, special equipment, geological disasters, and drownings. In the face of major accident hazards or extreme weather threats, decisive measures such as closing scenic spots and shutting down equipment should be taken to fully protect the lives and property of tourists and tourism practitioners. At the same time, safety knowledge should be widely disseminated to the public, urging caution when participating in high-risk activities and avoiding undeveloped or unsafe areas.
