"Beijing Tour of Ningxia: Give Your Soul a Break" Agricultural, Cultural and Tourism Products Fair Held
Recently, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region held a sales event in Beijing themed "Tour Ningxia in Beijing: Give Your Soul a Break," showcasing agricultural, cultural, and tourism products. As a featured component of Ningxia's 2026 "Five-pronged Approach to Promote Key Tourist Markets in Beijing," this event focused on the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism. It adopted an experiential sales model to directly engage with Beijing's end-consumer groups, highlighting Ningxia's unique cultural and tourism resources and its "six special" high-quality agricultural products, achieving a deep synergy between product appreciation and route promotion. This event also served as a concrete step in deepening industrial cooperation to commemorate the first anniversary of the establishment of the Beijing-Ningxia Cultural Tourism Alliance, with over 200 Beijing residents participating.
The combination of local products appreciation and route exhibitions presents the charm of agriculture, culture and tourism in the border region from multiple dimensions.
The event featured a specialty product tasting area and a cultural tourism route consultation area, showcasing the unique charm of Ningxia's integrated agriculture, culture, and tourism to Beijing residents through an immersive experience. The specialty product tasting area brought together Ningxia's "six special" high-quality products, with goji berries and Helan Mountain East Foothills wines as the core experiential categories. This was accompanied by explanations of the terroir of the production areas and product knowledge, along with on-site tastings, allowing attendees to experience the authentic quality and regional characteristics of Ningxia's local products firsthand.
The cultural tourism route consultation area leverages Ningxia's five iconic cultural tourism IPs: the golden brand "After visiting Ningxia, you won't want to see any other deserts," the green brand "The Yellow River enriches Ningxia," the purple brand "World Wine Capital," the ancient brand "World Cultural Heritage Site," and the red brand "He who has not climbed the Great Wall is not a true hero." It simultaneously launches six themed tourism routes, deeply connecting diverse content such as desert adventure, Yellow River sightseeing, winery leisure, World Heritage exploration, Great Wall discovery, and local life experiences. These routes offer a panoramic view of Ningxia's natural wonders and cultural heritage, comprehensively covering different travel needs such as family trips, leisure vacations, and cultural exploration, providing Beijing residents with a rich and distinctive selection of Ningxia travel options.
Experiential exhibitions and sales directly target consumers, opening up a collaborative link between logistics and cultural tourism.
This sales event broke away from the traditional one-way promotional model, adopting an "immersive experience + face-to-face consultation" approach to connect with consumers. It allowed citizens to develop a comprehensive understanding of Ningxia's culture and tourism while appreciating authentic local products. Many guests sampled goji berry products and regional wines, and gained a deeper understanding of Ningxia's rich natural scenery and cultural heritage through on-site displays and explanations. They showed great interest in a themed tour to Ningxia, stopping to inquire about itinerary details and travel planning, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere.
By combining local specialties with cultural tourism, the event effectively facilitated the synergistic transformation of local products and tourism consumption. It enriched citizens' travel experiences and choices with authentic local products and met the public's travel needs with diverse routes, achieving efficient reach in the integration of agriculture, culture and tourism. It also explored a more approachable way for the Beijing-Ningxia Cultural Tourism Alliance to cultivate the terminal market.
Relying on the Beijing-Nanjing Cultural Tourism Alliance platform, we will continue to cultivate the Beijing tourist market.
A relevant official from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Department of Culture and Tourism stated that the Beijing-Ningxia Cultural and Tourism Alliance serves as an important link for resource sharing and market expansion between the two regions. This agricultural, cultural, and tourism product sales event is a practical exploration of leveraging the alliance platform to analyze Beijing residents' consumption preferences and optimize promotional methods.
Next, Ningxia will continue to leverage the alliance's resource advantages to enrich its agricultural, cultural, and tourism integrated product offerings, refine more themed routes and experiences tailored to the Beijing market, and convey Ningxia's cultural and tourism charm in a more consumer-friendly way. This will solidify its position in the Beijing tourist market and promote deeper and broader cooperation between Beijing and Ningxia in cultural and tourism sectors. (Source: China.com)
