On August 13, Emirates Airlines announced several new measures to protect passengers, including free rebooking and reduced cancellation fees. Starting August 10, 2026, Emirates passengers traveling to Dubai can change their travel dates an unlimited number of times free of charge. This free rebooking policy applies to all Economy Class fares from Saver to Flex, as well as Business Class tickets in the Special, Saver, and Flex categories. Economy Class Flex Plus, Premium Economy, Business Class Flex Plus, and First Class tickets continue to enjoy a fully flexible rebooking and cancellation policy.

In addition, passengers flying with Emirates to destinations worldwide (including those transiting through Dubai) who purchase tickets on or after April 2, 2026, will be eligible for one free rebooking. Furthermore, passengers can lock their fares for free for 24 hours to finalize their travel plans.

In terms of reducing cancellation fees, Emirates has lowered the cancellation fee for Economy Class Saver tickets to $50 and for Flex tickets to $25; the cancellation fee for Business Class Special and Saver fares remains $50, and for Flex fares it remains $25. (Source: Beijing Business Today)
