东平国家森林公园

Dongping National Forest Park is located in central Chongming Island, with lush trees, fresh air and no urban hustle. You can come with friends for barbecue, rent bikes to cycle around, or escape summer heat here. Large groups can play paintball, while kids can enjoy bumper cars, carousels and other rides. There are two accessible gates: the main south Gate 1 and southwest Gate 2. The park is large, most tourists rent bikes at the entrance, which takes about 2 hours for a full loop. Battery cars or small park trains are also available for time-saving tours. Entering from Gate 1, most entertainment projects are on the right, including paintball shooting, archery, horse riding, go-kart, grass skiing, pedal boats and water walking balls. The park also has themed gardens for osmanthus, plum, cherry blossom, bamboo and maple, with different flowers to admire across seasons. In late autumn, the vast bright red sequoia forests are very stunning, with an old abandoned J-6 fighter hidden among trees showing unique tough beauty against soft swaying redwoods. The sika deer farm on the west side has free-range and captive deer, kids can feed the fawns for fun. There are also barbecue zones and camping bases deep in the park, you can bring or buy ingredients, rent grills, avoid holidays for less crowd. Tents and sleeping bags are available for rent, you can rest on the lawn or stay overnight for outdoor experience. Spring outing highlights: The blue-purple sea of Orychophragmus violaceus, romantic cherry blossoms, soft begonia flowers, colorful tulips, cute sika deer, exciting go-kart, fun dragon ride, hurricane flying chairs, paintball shooting, and barbecue camps with 2-10 person packages are all available for you to enjoy.
